Core Module 1 - Embodied Self-Awareness
Foundational Module · Mentalis Method™ — Pillar 1
Module Description
Embodied Self-Awareness is a core module within the pathway leading to the Certified Mentalis Emotional Health Practitioner™ (CMEHP™) designation.
Embodied Self-Awareness introduces the foundational psychological capacities that support responsible psychosocial intervention practice. The module focuses on cultivating awareness of internal experience as it emerges through bodily sensation, attention, and emotional processes.
Rather than approaching self-awareness as an abstract concept, participants learn to recognize how physiological states, stress responses, perception, and emotional activation influence interpretation, communication, and relational behavior. Emphasis is placed on the connection between mind and body as a primary pathway for understanding human experience and supporting regulated engagement with others.
Through guided reflection and structured learning, participants examine how patterns of attention, regulation, and meaning-making shape professional presence. This embodied awareness establishes the internal stability necessary before engaging more directly in relational and applied psychosocial work.
As the first step toward the CMEHP™ designation, Embodied Self-Awareness lays the groundwork for subsequent modules by strengthening reflective observation, emotional tolerance, and the capacity to respond thoughtfully rather than react automatically within professional contexts.
This module reflects principles drawn from the Mentalis Method™, which integrates psychological insight, relational understanding, and reflective practice as foundations for emotionally informed work with individuals and groups.
This module forms part of the Emotional Health Practitioner Certificate pathway.
