Course Overview

In this micro-course, we turn our focus to the body and explore how it communicates through sensations, tension patterns, posture, breath, and physiological responses. You will learn how the nervous system reacts to stress, why these reactions happen automatically, and how to recognize the physical signals that often appear long before the mind identifies emotional activation.

We break down common stress responses and examine how they influence breathing, muscles, digestion, energy levels, and the body’s sense of safety. Understanding these patterns is essential for building deeper body awareness (somatic awareness) and identifying early cues of overwhelm or stress.

Alongside the science, you will be guided through practical body-awareness exercises designed to improve internal perception and support regulation. These may include grounding, somatic scanning, breath-based regulation, and gentle movement practices to help shift the nervous system toward balance.

By the end, you’ll have a clearer understanding of your body’s language and a toolkit to recognize and regulate stress more effectively.
